Overview of the 3 Days Kivu Lake Adventure and Culture Tour
Lake Kivu adventure tour gives fantastic explorations of Lake Kivu by visiting different islands such as Napoleon, Peace, Monkey, and agricultural islands and many other islands in Kivu lake.
Briefly touring around the town of Kibuye. Head northward to Gisenyi town and explore borders between the Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda by driving through and head back to Kigali city via the Northern province’s Musanze town, Take an oportunity to lean more the Rwandan culture by visit Ibyiwacu Cultural Village and visit the Volcanoes National Park's headquarters, take Best souvenirs pictures with it, amazing views.

Please note:
Kigali car-free day: Every first and last sunday of a month, 07h00-10h00. The tour goes on but we avoid the blocked roads.
Each last suturday of the month there is a common work colled umuganda from 8-11 am , the Tour start 12 oclock.
What do I need to bring?
Recommended gear: Shoes-Sneakers or any other comfortable shoes, a sun hat and sunglasses just in case the weather requires

3 Days Kivu Lake Adventure and Culture Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Drive to Kibuye
06h00: Pick-up and leave Kigali by a Universal Ventures tour guide to drive 3.5 hours approx
Visit to Environmental Museum
Lunch & Relaxing time
Boat trip (Napoleon Island, Monkey Island, Peace Island, Agriculture Island).
17h – 17h30: Head to Hotel for a night stay
Day 2: Head to Gisenyi
08h00 : Pick up from the Hotel to Gisenyi (mid-way stop over for tea plantations sightseeing)
12h00: lunch
13hoo: Hotel Check in and relaxing near the lake waiting for evening night fishing.
Transfer to the hotel for a night stay.
Day 3 : Gisenyi Town Tour
Day 3: Back to Kigali ,looking around Gisenyi town and culture Tour.
Drive around Gisenyi town (Visit the border of The Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda).
Head back to Kigali and stop in Musanze for Lunch, leg stretching and Explorer ibyiwacu culture village to lean more about rwandan culture, see haw was traditional wedding, dancing, medicine,….
Reaching Kigali by evening for drop-off to the Hotel/Airport.
End of 3 days Rwanda Safari.
