What do I need to bring?

Three Days Gorilla Trekking Tour itinerary

Day1: Our driver/tour guide will pick you up in Kigali and drive to Bwindi National Park, Uganda. The drive to Uganda will go through Rwanda's northern town of Musanze (Ruhengeri). You will then cross over into Uganda via the Cyanika border post. The drive continues through the nearby Kisoro town and finally to Bwindi National Park. The journey should take about 5 hrs. Arriving at Bwindi National Park in the early afternoon will allow you to do optional activities such as a coffee making tour and canoeing at Lake Mutanda.

Day2: You will head to the Bwindi National Park immediately after breakfast to get a briefing about the gorilla trek.
The presentation will be conducted by the national park guide and will cover the basics of what to expect during the trek. It is at this point that you will be told which gorilla family to trek. You will likely be joined by other visitors. The gorilla trek can take from few to many hours, depending on how far the gorillas are inside the forest.

Note: Depending on the availability of gorilla trekking permits, we might suggest trekking the gorillas at Mgahinga Gorilla National Park.

Day 3:This will be the last day of the 3 days gorilla trek. We will drive from Bwindi National Park to Kigali. The drive from Bwindi National Park to Kigali is scheduled for 5hrs.
Before driving to Kigali, you can visit Mgahinga Gorilla National Park for golden monkey trekking (at an extra fee).
