Remember, gorilla trekking involves being in close proximity to wildlife, so it's important to wear muted colors like khaki, brown, or green to blend in with the natural surroundings.
Avoid bright or flashy clothing that may startle or disturb the gorillas. Lastly, be prepared for different weather conditions
Some areas of Akagera have tsetse flies and they do bite while traveling.

Day 1: Full Day Kigali City Tour

The City sightseeing includes Gahanga local market, Akagera river separating Kigali from the Eastern province and which will pass through Akagera National Park separating Rwanda and Tanzania. This river continues its way into Victoria lake and further to form the Nile river.

The city tour passes via Rebero, with the view overlooking the central part of Kigali city and the Kigali Convention Centre in the horizon and goes on to KBC-one of the modern shopping and entertainment centres, Kigali car-free zone, mount kigali for views of the city and the countryside, Kigali Genocide Memorial and finally Kigali Height for debriefing, refreshing afternoon coffee or a local drink of choice.
You will drive while enjoying the beautiful view of the town, chatting and sharing much about the history of Kigali, how it was raised into famous being named the cleanest town in Africa.

Meet locals and share with them daily life.

Day 2 : Kigali – Nyungwe Forest National Park

After your breakfast, transfer to Nyungwe forest National Park with stopover in south province visit the king’ palace museum to lean more about a reconstruction of the traditional royal residence, the King’s Palace is a beautifully-crafted thatched dwelling shaped like a beehive.. Lunch en-route, and after transfer to the forest for dinner and overnight at Nyungwe forest lodge.

Day 3 : Chimpanzee Trekking & Canopy Walk

After breakfast meet at the park offices for briefing about the forest and the primates, thereafter enter into the forest searching for the chimpanzee in the branches of the trees and as you look for the chimps expect to spot other primates like the white and black Columbus, vervet monkeys, red tailed monkeys and variety of birds.

Day 4 : Lake Kivu Adventure

Have a morning relax and and transfer to kibuye for Kivu lake tour which gives you a fantastic explorations of lake Kivu by visiting different islands such as Napoleon, Peace, Monkey, and Agricultural islands other islands in Kivu lake. After this good experience you will visit environmental museum and back to you hotel for evening stay.

Day 5 : Transfer from Kibuye to Gisenyi / Discover Night Fishing Activity

After breakfast from your lodge embark your safari van and transfer back to Gisenyi through Kivu Belt road mid way stop over for coffee sightseeing and upon your arrival at the shores of the Lake enjoy the sun bathing the white sand, enjoy the swimming, Evening join a group for fisherman and enjoy night fishing experience. Then back to your hotel for Dinner and overnight / Lake Kivu Serena hotel.

Day 6 : Lake Kivu-Volcanoes Gorilla Park (Ibyi’Iwacu cultural village)

Have breakfast and then embark on the safari vehicle and transfer to Volcanoes National Park, a home of mountain gorillas in the mist. The park has got so far now more gorilla families launched for tourism gorilla trekking and each family is visited by 8 clients per day.

Experience village walk and visit the Ibyi’wacu cultural village. They perform cultural dance and Kinyarwanda songs, lean more about traditional weddings, medicine,…. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 7 : Rwanda Gorilla Trekking

Have breakfast, thereafter continue to the park headquarters for briefing about the mountain gorillas in the mist and the park as well, after enter into the jungle to search for the mountain gorillas.

Meet Gorillas about an hour while taking the unforgettable photographs and videos. Return to the park offices for your gorilla trekking certificate. Return to lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 8 : Volcanoes - Akagera Wildlife National Park

After breakfast, with your leisurely drive to Akagera wildlife national park with middle way stop over for leg stretching and lunch, take a boat ride in lake ihema with more chance to spot the crocodile, hippos and many kind of birds, depending by the time you can have a half game driver before heading to the hotel, the park is an extension of Tanzanian plains where you can spot variety of wildlife species like the lions, elephants, buffaloes, warthogs among others for your full game driver at the next day.

Day 9 : Full Game Drive and Driver Back to kigali

Explore the park from the south to the northern part, full game drives to look for early riser wildlife species and other wildlife like the lions, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, warthogs, water and bush backs, among others.

Take your time and Enjoy the jungle life , the picnics area inside the park are the best places to take good souvenirs pictures and video. Driver back to kigali for your drop off any were in kigali.
