5 Days Nyungwe Safari and Lake Kivu Adventure – Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Nyungwe National Park
Begin your journey with an early morning departure from Kigali after breakfast. En route to Nyungwe National Park, you’ll enjoy a scenic drive through the rolling hills of Rwanda’s countryside. Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking and Canopy Walkway Adventure
Start the day early with a transfer to the park briefing point before heading into the dense rainforest for an unforgettable chimpanzee trekking experience. Day 3: Transfer to Lake Kivu
After breakfast, depart Nyungwe and enjoy a relaxing drive to Lake Kivu, one of Africa’s Great Lakes. Upon arrival, check in at your lakeside hotel and unwind with stunning views of the lake. In the afternoon, embark on a peaceful boat cruise that takes you to several of Lake Kivu’s iconic islands, including Peace Island, Monkey Island, Napoleon Island, and Agriculture Island. Day 4: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park for Cultural Experience
